About one-third of the population of elementary public school students suffer from head lice infestation. Children are either teased, bullied, or ignored for having head lice which is often an excuse for them to miss school. And although parents try our best to comb our kids' hair with 'suyod' or 'sud' in bisaya, it is still not enough to ger rid of these lice and their eggs.
As part of its Kilusang Kontra Kuto Campaign, Licealiz has been travelling all over the country for Nationwide Oplan Alis Kuto to educate communities on head lice prevention and proper treatment.
This November, the Licealiz Team will be visiting schools and barangays in Cebu to arrange shampooing programs, lectures and fun activities for students and parents.
"We want to empower local communities by giving them the information and materials they need to get rid of lice for good along with the negative connotation attached to being infested." Says Licealiz Senior Marketing Associate Jacquiline Pe.
This November, the Licealiz team has already travelled to different schools around Cebu including Pardo Elementary School, Guadalupe Elementary School, Talisay Elem School, City Central Elementary School and Inayawan Elementary School and will be travelling to more schools including Marigondon Elementary School for tge Nationwide Oplan Alis Kuto. They have already visited schools around Luzon and will be travelling to more schools around Visayas and Mindanao in the next few months.
Licealiz invites everyone to join their Kilusang Kontra Kuto campaign and help spread awareness. For more information on head lice prevention and treatment visit their FB page facebook.com/Licealiz.
