Fitness Pursuit: Tryin' to get rid of Rice
Friday, September 13
Been wanting to lose some weight for quite some time now. I've gained maybe 5-10 lbs (from a 120+ to 130+ lbs) after I gave birth last 2012. Mind you, it's really tempting to eat. My stomach shouts at almost anything *grin*, it's hard to go on a diet especially for me who is religiously breastfeeding Adi until now (been a year).
I don't skip my breakfast since that's the most important meal of the day for me. I don't want to get gutom (hungry) when I go to work as much as possible. The added energy that I need is from there so I eat and drink Milo. *wink* let's skip the milk for late nights.
For lunch, I skip rice and eat something else. This time it's bread with my favorite Calamares (fried buttered squid)
I might say, my stomach was filled though. Thank God! I thought I would not but I might as well get used to this. I'm happy that I am already a step closer to my goal.... to lose weight.
Well, hopefully this routine would go on as I please. Discipline is key here. *wink* So, the best of luck to me.
*I am also looking into eating potatoes, brown rice and oatmeal as my rice substitute.
That's it for me today!

I pair it with my favorite mayo and the ever famous YAKULT!

My Baby Essentials
Friday, September 6
Since I have become a mother to Adi last August, 2012, I have been searching for products that would suit him, and what is best for him and his delicate sensitive skin. As mothers to our Babies who require our full tender loving care I have came up with this list, most of the products available are quite expensive and might not really suit our babies, that is why for me as a busy working career mom, I am taking this task if not so serious but in a budget-friendly perspective.
With my Adi now at 1, I am happy and grateful that he is such a good boy. A little but ample amount of effort is taken to take good care of him since he is not the type who likes to cry out for just about anything unlike other babies that I have seen growing up to. He is the type who'll just sleep, eat, and poop! I am a lucky mom.
But so much about all the ramblings, today I will be sharing with you some of the trusted products that I have been religiously buying for him up until today. Down to the list:

(google.com)
I use Cetaphil on his face. It's so gentle and is available for only 85 pesos.
(google.com)
For his hair, I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo. It's no tears formula is what i am really going for. Available locally for only 50 pesos.
(google.com)
Chamomile Oil (RHEA) product that I used on his tummy, shoulders and forehead right before he sleeps. I just rub a little amount on him to avoid flatulence (PANUHOT OR KABAG) he might get from the air blown from our electric fan at home. =) I love this since it has a nice scent and the oil is not hot after application unlike other oils I have tried on him, doesn't irritate his skin AT ALL. ♥ Available locally for 45 pesos.
(google.com)
Oilatum Bar Soap for his body. It fights off irritation and is very gentle on his skin. It is also good for diaper rashes and other skin rashes. I love this product. It is also odorless. =) Available at drug stores for only 120 pesos.
I use this to protect him from diaper rashes. =)
Petroleum jelly is an oil-based emollient (it repels water), which makes it a long-lasting lubricant to smooth and protect rough and dry skin. How? Emollients help to replace lipids by filling in gaps in between skin cells. The result? Soft, well-hydrated skin. (google.com).
Available locally for only 30 pesos.
And that's it!
Have you tried other baby products, too?
I would love to hear from you.
till then,

Review + Swatch: Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Lipstick (Rose Lipstick) and Holiday Collection make up palette
Friday, June 21
A Review on the products I got from AVON last year December 2012.
This post was sitting on my drafts for quite some time already. And here, finally I am posting them on my blog .This is a scheduled post by the way =)
I bought these items at my own expenses solely for review and have not been paid for by AVON.
So, Let's get started! ............
*sorry for the poor image quality. i am using my samsung camera. the old model. I hope to get a much better camera in the future though.. Wink! =)
The packaging:
What I love about it is that it comes in a dainty and clear cover so you can actually see the colors (eyeshadows and blush inside). It also comes with an applicator and a blusher brush.
What I don't Like: it has no mirror into it. So you have to use a separate mirror for you to view your eyes/face in every application. It is quite big and bulky to fit in my travel kikay kit. You might need a larger kit to store it. And also, the product can get shattered easily if you drop it so it takes extra care in handling it.
The Swatch:
It is not so clear here in the photo but the colors are really great. Perfect for blending. =) I love it.

have you tried these products as well?
Wedding 101: How to design a Brooch Bouquet
Friday, June 14
We are planning to tie the knot and I simply couldn't resist carrying this down the aisle. This is a repost from fancypantsweddings.com . I can't wait to create my own and post it as a DIY right here on my blog. But for now, here are the steps in creating it.
Brooch bouquets are amazing for so many reasons. Let me count the ways: they are sparkly, they make meaningful keepsakes after the wedding, they are sparkly, you can use jewelry from family members and carry a bit of them with you down the aisle, you make your brooch bouquet well in advance of the wedding, you never have to worry about it not holding up throughout the day and they are sparkly.
Making a brooch bouquet is quite the DIY project! It takes patience and creativity. But it is a worthy endeavor. Especially when you are ready to walk down the aisle carrying a beautiful brooch bouquet of your own making.
HAUL: Drug Store products + AVON Liners
Friday, May 24
Hi! this will be a short post on a haul that I had last week at Three Sixty Pharmacy, as I passed by going home. i recalled that i haven't bought some toiletries to use for the days ahead so i headed on and got myself the items in the above photo. =)
Every girl needs to smell good and of course clean and squeaky. I think the products all together cost me 300 plus pesos all in all, except the two liners i got from AVON which i bought for 200 pesos both. the gel eyeliner is great and worth the money. i'll do a separate review on that. =)
glimmersticks eyeliner in soft black
mega impact gel eyeliner
Camay shower gel. i like using shower gels so much since they are easily absorbed by the skin esp since it is in liquid form.
the facial cleanser that i am using most of the time since i first bought it i got hooked at eversince, i use it as a makeup remover as well.
the toner, my best toner ever. it's so soft on the skin and i love the scent so much. it relaxes my skin after cleansing with eskinol.
the soap that im loving today. the scent is somewhat citrusy i use it for my face.
the hair product that i can't live without. i use these to relax the tresses of my curls. sets my hair in place without the heavy feel.
for the damaged curly hair as a result from coloring.
my lotion as of the moment, i love the scent and the soft feeling it leaves after application.
my facial cleanser. i love this one as well. not so soapy but very smooth on the face. leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.
that's about it for me now.
till my next hauls!
have a great day and thanks for reading!
