5 things you can do with your Mason Jar
Tuesday, January 27
Hi Mommsies!
I hope you had a great weekend.
If you haven't noticed or know yet, I have been recently interested and hooked on DIYs and Rustic Stuff.
I also have been hooked on instagram.
Today, I wanted to share with you some DIY stuffs you can do with your Mason Jars.
I purchased my first mason jar from my office mate for only 150 pesos and I must say, these jars are the bomb. I can use them for cold, hot drinks, salads, and also for my favorite shakes.
1. Mason Jar Cozy - you can create your own cozy as much as I want to but I will post my own DIY cozy next time. This is perfect to keep your mason jar pretty and also protects your hand from condensed water from cold drinks or shakes as you hold it. Its perfect to keep your warm drink warmer for long periods too.
4. Mason Jar Salad - I love healthy foods on my mason jar, and i know you do too.

Hi Mommsies! What a great way to start my post by saying, Good Morning!
I had a blast last Sunday, Sinulog 2015 happened here in Cebu simultaneously with the visit of Pope Francis. It feels wonderfully awesome to be a Filipino at this time at age doesn't it?
Last week, I also had a chance to finally visit and dine with my office mates at Brique Modern Kitchen.
This is a new kitchen that just opened last August 2014 here in Cebu. And I was really loving the whole design and ambience of the place. It's more of a resto - cafe of sorts to me.
I don't know but I love Rustic stuffs nowadays ^_^
I also personally love the Salads, their a bit new to my taste and it doesn't feel messy when you eat it.
Overall, I loved my dining experience at Brique. The place is cozy but not too shabby. Food is served in less than 12-15 minutes. And the staff are very accomodating. I'd definitely go back there with hubby and Adi with me. =)

what we had |
My personal favorite from the appetizers menu is the Truffled Shoestring Potatoes. =) Definitely something new to me and I could not believe I've eaten so much of it. Truffled Shoestring costs about PHP250. I am also giving their pastas a thumbs up. Definitely a must try!

ViVa Pope Francis!
Sunday, January 18
Hello Mommsies!
It's a Sunday. And it's time for another edition of Yo Momma Reflects (God Speaks to me). I love that I can get to share with you some of my own life's experiences here in this blog. And I am glad that some if not many get to have their comments saying that they learned a lot from my posts. Thank you! And keep on keeping on.
This January, lots of things are going on in my head. Like:
As I reflect, As I see and sit and watch my TV while Pope Francis is waving his hand to my fellow Filipinos, I can say it is true. God is real. That He is there.
I Can only imagine how it would be to show the world that I can do things I wanted to do. I want to make an impact to someone else's life. I want to be the Hero. And Being a mom is one. Being a breadwinner is another.
A woman can only hold and keep so much endurance and strength. To give her all For the people that she cares a lot for.
For her family and her children. No matter what/who they may be. No matter what the odds may be.
She will do it.
In a way, in His eyes, I know and feel that - we are all equal. We are all the same.
We are Longing for his Compassion and never ending Unconditional Love.
Yes, it's true. That if we just hold on to what we have and try to make the most out of it. We can surpass the strongest storms and the most destructive quakes.
What we can do for Love.
We can achieve greater things.
Yes, we are all God's Children.
We belong to Him.
Glory be to God!
What have you learned from this post? What are you thoughts and feelings about the Papal Visit to the Philippines?

What do I do with my life? How will I raise my child in the best way a mother can? Will I ever make it until he graduates from college? What's the best diet pill on Earth? Will Allen ever propose to me for yet our Church Wedding? What am I going to prepare them for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner? How will I ever pay my pending debts? It ranges in greater wavelengths, I know. A mind I have is a bit complicated. And im jealous of women I know who are very detail -oriented. Knows what they want and need for their family. Knows How and what to do and what to prioritize. It's never getting into my head that way. I am easily swayed but what I see and how I feel about things, my thoughts and the people-pleaser that I am.

This visit calls to mind what Jesus did as recounted in the Gospel. In Matthew 9:36, Jesus after “seeing the people, felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.”
And like the Good Shepherd of Whom he is the Vicar here on earth, the Holy Father saw the suffering of his flock. He felt compassion and comes to us bringing “the joy of the gospel” to revive our “drooping spirit” and to lead us to greener pastures (cf. Psalm 23).
The message the Holy Father brings with him challenges us to imitate Christ, the Good Shepherd, who is Mercy and Compassion.
I Can only imagine how it would be to show the world that I can do things I wanted to do. I want to make an impact to someone else's life. I want to be the Hero. And Being a mom is one. Being a breadwinner is another.

Mommy Talks: Pregnancy Tips
Sunday, December 28
Hi Mommsies!
Welcome back. I hope you had a great vacation with your families.
Today, Adi has been really behaved and more of a grown up boy already. He has been showing signs of independence and wants to do things on his own. He has grown a lot. I'm happy and grateful for yet another year coming our way. Having a child is exciting and to me it is but a blessing.
Having a child is never a joke. And being a mom is never an easy task. I keep on saying that cause it has been 2 years and the times got more and more hectic nowadays. Planning for your family is the best way to outdo it.
Having baby number 2 is well part of it. But both hubby and I decided to have another addition hopefully by the time that we already wed in front of the Altar. Church wedding is on top of our list after we were civilly wed last July.
If you are in your baby planning phase now and wanted some help, well here is the answer to pregnancy woes.
Some couples who are in their trying to conceive journey may have a hard time getting pregnant. Some of them just don’t know where to start. Pregnancytips.org has a few steps you can do in order to boost your chances of conceiving.
1. Track your ovulation. For women, it’s very important to get to know your body. Ovulation is a small window of opportunity that you have where you are most fertile, that could last for about 2-4 days only. You may want to be able to make sure the sperm is able to catch the egg on that short window of opportunity to boost your chances. You can use an ovulation predictor kit, a basal body thermometer or an online ovulation calculator to help you pinpoint your ovulation days.
2. Protect your sperm. For men, it’s important to keep your sperms healthy by making sure you avoid the sperm killers such as Jacuzzis, saunas and hot tubs as well as using laptops on your lap for a long time.
3. Stay healthy. Make sure you and your partner get rid of the bad habits like junk foods, smoking and alcohol. Make sure to have fruits and vegetables in your diet, they play an important role in boosting your fertility.
You might want to check out their site for more info and tips including Pregnancy Symptoms, Baby and Toddler Care and much more. They also have tools such as Pregnancy Calculator, Due Date Calculator and Ovulation Calculator to help you track your journey.
Isn't that a breeze?
Happy Planning mommsies!

#Christmas2014 Part 1
Wednesday, December 24
Hi Mommsies!
I missed all of you. How was your week?
I know your all very excited right? It is Christmas once again. As for us here in the Philippines,
Christmas is a Fun-filled Celebration.
It is the most exciting wonderful time of the year as we get to spend more time with our loved ones. Celebrate the season of love and giving.
A time of the year where we get to give and receive gifts. Spend our bonuses and enjoy it with our families.
As for me, I'd spend it by paying off my debt first. Here is to hoping a debt-free 2015, ayt?
Yeah, much of my Christmas bonus gets to that. But I'm hoping I get to save some too for Adi.
As a working mom it is inevitable to not be part of the ever famous and much-anticipated Christmas Party. In the Compnay where I work for, I had the chance to be able to join and enjoy three awesome parties!
There were 3 parties. Yes, not one but 3. Year-end Party, Departmental Party and the Area Party. Woohoo! Amazing noh?
So much of the merry making, I got one problem.
I just can't seem to get a hold of time. I have been busy with family-life and my work. That is why I have not been blogging for quite some time. I was also thinking of doing another giveaway but didn't make it so maybe I'll try again by January 2015. *fingers-crossed*
Since then, I have been hooked to IG (instagram) on my mobile phone. I love the app soo much!
I can easily share my photos and updates to my 3Fs (friends, family, followers). It saves me so much time. I can easily tap the buttons and off they go sync to my FB and twitter accounts. See? isn't it just a breeze.
P.S. Bonus Post:
when I got home this Hubby was just super happy. I guess it is because he won the raffle from their Company Christmas Party. Well, my inner guts are really to be trusted. As he was texting me about it I said 'you should join the party, pa. you'll never know you might win in the raffle. just shake off the thing (he will leave his job by Jan 2015 since he was terminated by his employer.' As for me, I am partly happy and sad. Happy that he will get to spend more time with me and Adi and sad that I will have to shoulder now most of our household expenses. More challenges and we only get even stronger as a family. Right mommsies?
Stay blessed Mommsies! Enjoy your #Christmas2014 and thanks for reading. Stay tuned for the Part 2 of this series, ha?
